The MOUSE Squad is a student-driven technical support help desk program that addresses the technology needs in our Hunts Point Middle School. MOUSE Squad prepares and supports teams of students to establish and sustain technology help desks in urban schools, thus providing a reliable, cost effective solution to infrastructure challenges while improving the capacity to integrate technology into teaching and learning. Through authentic, hands-on learning experiences, MOUSE certified student technicians will draw on their own strengths and interests as they develop the technical, collaborative, and problem-solving skills necessary for success in MOUSE Squad and the 21st century workplace. The main goals of this program are to promote information and technology literacy, teach students to be organized and responsible, show initiative and work effectively as a team.
